And How We Keep Things Moving for You
At Luxury Landscape, we know you’re excited to see your new landscaping take shape. When it rains, it can slow things down — but that doesn’t mean we stop working for you. Here’s how we handle wet weather so your project still gets done right.
Why Rain Sometimes Delays Work
- Protecting Your Property: Working on wet soil can cause deep ruts, compact the ground, and damage plant roots — things we want to avoid for long-term health. Even just a quarter inch of rain can cause delays.
- Ensuring Quality: Some installations, like pavers, retaining walls, or sod, won’t set properly in soggy conditions. Waiting ensures a better, longer-lasting result.
- Safety First: Wet surfaces can be slippery for both our team and our equipment. Muddy/moist conditions can clog & damage tools & machines. Safety is always a top priority for us.
What We Do on Rainy Days
Even if we can’t work at your home, our team stays busy:
- Servicing and sharpening tools & equipment so we’re ready to go as soon as the weather clears.
- Preparing or picking up materials so installation goes faster later.
- Checking drainage on current projects and recommending solutions where needed.
- Staying in touch with you to reschedule work promptly.
How We Keep You in the Loop
- Proactive Updates: If rain delays your project, we’ll reach out right away to explain the situation and give you an updated schedule.
- Your Project Comes First: As soon as conditions are right, your job moves back to the top of the list.
- No Corners Cut: We never rush or compromise just to make up for lost time — quality comes first. This does mean that clients next on the schedule are also delayed, which can create somewhat of a bottleneck effect. This can be frustrating for our clients. We get it, we really do. We are just as excited to give our customers their dream landscape they’ve been waiting for and any delays is just as frustrating for us too.
Rain as an Opportunity
Believe it or not, rain can help us spot potential improvements for your property:
- Identifying drainage issues.
- Noticing low spots in lawns or beds that could benefit from grading or downspouts that may need buried.
- Seeing where a rain garden or dry creek bed might help.
Our Promise
Rain might slow us down, but it will never stop us from delivering the landscape you’ve been dreaming about. We appreciate your patience and promise that when the sun comes back and conditions dry up appropriately, we’ll be ready to make your property shine.
